The Summons

The Summons

It wasn't Tessa's fault that she was skeptic about black magic.  It was just too farfetched for her.  She is currently in her best friend, Arthur's basement.  She watched as he chalked up the floor and lit the candles at each point of the drawing on the floor.  "This is stupid" she blatantly said which caught his attention.  "Well you don't have to be here, you can leave whenever you want but don't think I'm letting you back into my house afterwards" Arthur said rather sharply in his famous/well known British accent.  He maybe a 'gentlemen' but his pride held him back from being one.  So after a while of deciding whether or not to leave, Tessa walked to the far side of the room and sat on a wooden stool.  Arthur turned to see her, "Just don't get in the way or you'll impede the summoning."  Arthur then grabbed an ancient looking book that was worn with usage and yellowish pages.  He flipped the pages carefully till something caught his eyes and looked to Tessa once more.  "I'm going to summon an egregious demon and make him my minion."  "Yeah, and I'm the Tooth Fairy that can spit fire whenever I want to."  Tessa whispered but loud enough for Arthur to hear.  "Shhh! I'm starting."  He placed his hand in the center of the pentagram and began to mutter some things.  "Santa ree toma tomato… Ring o Jonan tee tomden… Jack, La Toya, Janet, Michael… Dumble-Dora the Explorer. (Now the drawing was glowing a greenish blue color.)  Santa ree toma tomato… Ring o Jonan tee tomden… Jack, La Toya, Janet, Michael… Dumble-Dora the Explorer!  Now I summon you from the depths of Hell, now show yourself!"  The glow grew darker to an eerie indigo.  Tessa stared with surprise and couldn't believe what she was seeing.  Arthur grinned as a black hole opened in the middle of the pentagram and a figure began to rise from it.  But it stopped to reveal a face, a familiar face.  It was none other than Tessa's Russian friend Ivan.  He opened his violet eyes.  "You called?" He said in his thick Russian accent.  Arthur pushed Ivan's head back through "I wasn't calling you!"  That wasn't as bad as turning to see Tessa laughing on the floor, holding her stomach with tears falling out.  Gloom fell onto Arthur as he curled into a ball and sat on the floor.  Tessa stopped all of a sudden and crawled to Arthur, "That was fun, we should do it again sometime but next time let's summon Lucifer."  Arthur looked up with a frown, "Only a complete idiot would summon a demon like him.  Honestly Tessa, think before you say something like that."  All she could do was smile "I knew you wouldn't succumb that easily."
